Upcoming Workshop – Effective Communication – Monday 17th July, 6.30pm
Good communication skills are essential in all areas of daily life. On a personal level, good communication can help us communicate our needs and wants and better understand each other. This helps us to avoid conflict by listening, understanding and compromising.
In our professional life, successful communication is important to boost employee morale, engagement, productivity and satisfaction. Without good communication skills, team collaboration and co-operation becomes exceedingly difficult.
Statistically, communication problems are the most common cause of relationship break downs. 65% of breakups have been cited as being due to poor communication skills, whilst 43% of couples separate due to an inability to resolve issues.
In the workplace, 86% of disgruntled employees and executives cite poor communication as one of the leading causes for poor productivity and workplace failures. Improved internal communication can improve productivity by as much as 25%.
Self-esteem and communication are inextricably linked. Our communication with others impacts our self-esteem, and our self-esteem impacts our communication with others. The ability to communicate in a respectful and assertive fashion requires a healthy dose of self-esteem. Likewise, when someone speaks to us in a disrespectful manner, or communicates poorly, our self-esteem can be damaged significantly.
In my workshop, we will be learning about healthy and unhealthy communication styles. You will learn to recognise your communication style and learn tools to improve these skills.
The workshop will include handouts and snacks. Places are strictly limited – so please reserve your place as soon as possible. The workshop will be for 2 hours at a cost of $250.00 per person. Payment will be required prior to the commencement of the workshop. Please text Kate on 0408 122 608 with your full name and email address if you would like to reserve your place.

Workplace Workshops:
Through research, we understand that disgruntled, unhappy employees have a negative attitude that can affect their work and reduce job performance and creativity. Happy employees, on the other hand, have a positive attitude that allows them to succeed. Stressed out employees are distracted employees. This can have a devastating effect on productivity.
For a business, managing workplace stress means fewer work-related injuries, enhanced attendance, less staff turnover, greater productivity and improved morale. Statistics have shown that a positive workplace, with happy employees can increase productivity by as much as 12%, resulting in increased profits for the organisation.
Kate will tailor a workplace workshop to suit your business type and requirements. The cost of these workshops will be structured around the number of attendees, length of workshop and resources provided. Speak to Kate today for a free consultation to discuss your specific needs.
